Leinster Minor Hurling: Wexford find extra gear to shake off Dubs

Wexford required extra-time to overcome Dublin (0-21 to 1-14) in their Electric Ireland Leinster MHC second round clash at Innovate Wexford Park on Saturday.

With the sides tied 0-15 to 1-12 after 60 minutes, after Wexford’s Rory O’Connor had landed a late equaliser, the hosts proved far stronger in the closing stages as they confirmed their semi-final spot by a four-point margin.

There was little to separate the sides in a cagey first half, with two points by Dublin midfielder Ciaran Dowling ensuring a 0-6 to 0-6 stalemate.
