Fit-again McNamee returns at full-back for Tyrone

Ronan McNamee has recovered from an ankle injury to return to the Tyrone side for Sunday’s Allianz FL Division 2 clash with Fermanagh at Brewster Park (2pm).

Tyrone manager Mickey Harte has made four changes from the win over Armagh last week, with McNamee coming in for Pádraig Hampsey at full-back. Michael O’Neill takes over from Niall Morgan in goal with Barry Tierney in for Niall Sludden at wing-back and Pádraig McNulty in for the injured Peter Harte at wing-forward.

Tomorrow, Kerry host Laois in the Allianz Hurling League Division 1B relegation play-off at Austin Stack Park in Tralee (throw-in 5pm). The Kingdom beat Offaly in their final game of the regular section of the league and there is just one change to that side, with Shane Nolan coming into the half-forward line instead of John Buckley.

Galway hurlers have been hit with a defensive injury crisis as they bid to hold on to their top flight status against Cork at Pearse Stadium in Salthill on Sunday.

Former captain Fergal Moore and his Turloughmore team-mate Ronan Burke are the latest to be ruled out. Burke’s brother Daithí, an All-Star last year, has been sidelined with a broken thumb, adding to a list of injured defenders which also includes Padraic Mannion, Johnny Coen, Greg Lally and goalkeeper Colm Callanan.

But there is a boost for manager Micheál Donoghue with the experienced Cyril Donnellan in line to return for this crucial game.
