Late foul on Nash ‘a major regret’ for Gleeson

Waterford tyro Austin Gleeson has described his late foul which led to Cork’s equalising score in the Munster SHC quarter-final last month as "a major regret" of a dream senior championship debut.

Referee Brian Gavin had no hesitancy in punishing Gleeson’s hit on Anthony Nash with a free from where the ball landed and Patrick Horgan converted to bring the sides level and back to a replay on Sunday afternoon.

And the Mount Sion star admits his role in letting a nine-point lead slip against Cork still pains him.
