Black card working, scoring on increase

For the second week running, the total amount of goal and points across the National Football League are up on last year.

Black card working, scoring on increase

As managers continue to point to the black card for the high scores in this year’s competition, the statistics appear to back up their assertions. A total of 25-347 was registered across the 15 games this past weekend, an average of 24.8 scored per game (a goal and a point considered the same).

That compares with 30-304, an average of 22.2, across 15 round two games last year, excluding last year’s Carlow-London game as their corresponding fixture in Ruislip this year on Sunday was postponed.
