Canning admits ‘stupid and uncharacteristic’ wild pull

Joe Canning admits he was wrong to lash out in Saturday’s All-Ireland club semi-final.

The Galway captain was fortunate to be shown just a yellow card for a strike on Na Piarsaigh’s David Dempsey in the first half of Portumna’s win in Thurles.

“Yeah, it was just stupid really on my part. It was uncharacteristic, I suppose,” said Canning at the launch of the Red Bull/Google Wings for Life World Run.
