O’Grady rues lost opportunity despite Munster glory
After claiming a first provincial title since 1996, Limerick slipped up against Clare in the All-Ireland semi-final and looked on helplessly as the Banner County claimed the Liam MacCarthy Cup. And with two Munster teams fighting it out for the game’s biggest prize, the Granagh-Ballingarry man felt it was a wide open campaign.
“Regret, definitely, with the year that’s gone. Because with Tipp, Kilkenny and Galway being the top teams for the last two or three years and going out early, it was open country.
