After claiming a first provincial title since 1996, Limerick slipped up against Clare in the All-Ireland semi-final and looked on helplessly as the Banner County claimed the Liam MacCarthy Cup. And with two Munster teams fighting it out for the game’s biggest prize, the Granagh-Ballingarry man felt it was a wide open campaign.
