Mohill oust kingpins

Gortletteragh, Carrigallen, Mohill and either St Mary’s or Melvin Gaels will contest the county’s SFC semi-finals following the quarter-finals played in continuous rain in both Drumshanbo and Cloone.

Mohill oust kingpins

In Drumshanbo, Mohill caused the upset of the championship when they dramatically came from behind to defeat Glencar/Manor by 1-8 to 0-9, who had contested the last five county finals, winning four.

Defending champions Melvin Gaels forced a late draw, 1-9 to 0-12, with St Mary’s when Paul Brennan fired over an injury-time point.

Gortletteragh, last year’s county IFC champions, overcame Annaduff 0-7 to 0-5.

Carrigallen emerged victorious over Allen Gaels by 0-9 to 0-8 in what was a hotly contested showdown in Cloone and will now meet either Melvin Gaels or St Mary’s in the semi-final.
