The hosts trailed by a point, 1-9 to 2-7, at the break but they finished strongly with Paudie O’Sullivan and Patrick Horgan introduced off the bench in the second half.
“I’m delighted,” said Cork boss Jimmy Barry-Murphy afterwards. “It is a good workout as we get ready for Tipperary on Saturday week. That is the big one for us. We are trying to build up to that. The players have been excellent. Tonight has been very worthwhile, very pleasing.”
