Murphy blow mars NY trip

Michael Murphy is believed to have damaged ligaments in his right foot in Saturday’s GAA-GPA Opel All Stars game.

The Donegal captain retired in the opening minutes of the game and looked to be in serious discomfort leaving the pitch.

It had been speculated yesterday morning the Glenswilly man may have chipped a bone. However, figures from the Donegal camp currently in the US suspect it might be ligament trouble.

A number of the Donegal group including Murphy and manager Jim McGuinness yesterday travelled to Boston from New York for a reception in their honour.
