Final will be Cody’s 12th at Cats helm

Brian Cody is managing Kilkenny into an All-Ireland final for the 12th time.

Kilkenny won it under his guidance in 2000, 2002, 2003, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011 and lost in 1999, 2004 and 2010.

Galway have had six managers in the same period as Cody have been in charge of Kilkenny: Mattie Murphy, Noel Lane, Conor Hayes, Ger Loughnane, John McIntyre and Anthony Cunningham, who is in his first year at the helm.
