What an ungrateful lot we can be.

Last Sunday, Kilkenny were outplayed and outfought by Galway in Croke Park and the squeals of delight could be heard far beyond the clusters of hurling strongholds that pockmark the island.

Even Ger Loughnane was almost giddy giving his analysis at half-time and after the final whistle but, in that, he was no different to most of us.
