McGrath blasts ‘crazy’ ticket prices

Waterford selector Ken McGrath has slammed the “crazy” €30 stand ticket price for Sunday week’s Munster SHC semi-final against Clare.

Echoing John Mullane’s criticism of the provincial championship admission fees two years ago, McGrath suggested the county’s supporters will be put off by the cost of attending the game in Thurles.

Claiming Waterford city, for one, is “on its knees“, he said: “I think it’s crazy. Looking at my own position, we had a (sports) shop for four or five years and it went last year.
