TRACEY Kennedy will become the first female executive officer in the history of the Cork County Board after she won the election to become the next PRO last night.

The Killeagh native received 453 votes which was enough to see her past the other candidate for the position John Corcoran who garnered 145 votes. Kennedy will take up her position at tonight’s county board convention in Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
