Fennelly final worry for Cody
After a round of SHL games in Kilkenny he was greeted with news that rising star Colin Fennelly could be out of the final after sustaining an injury in his club’s win over Clara.
The Ballyhale Shamrocks attacker had to be carried off before being ferried by car from the sideline area by county star Michael Fennelly, who sat out the game to avoid aggravating a leg muscle injury.
Fennelly was rushed immediately to the chryotheraphy centre in Wexford for treatment.
Former All-Star Michael Rice was a spectator when his club, Carrickshock, suffered a bad defeat against James Stephens. Rice picked up a rib injury in the All-Ireland semi-final win over Waterford but he should resume training by the end of the week.
