Kingdom boosted as Galvin makes return
The former footballer of the year showed no ill effects from his recent hip and groin injuries but Division Two leaders Spa proved just too strong, winning on a 1-11 to 1-8 scoreline. Galvin hit four points and, aided by newly-appointed Kerry U21 boss Eamon Fitzmaurice, helped his side recover from a poor start to hit back and close the gap.
Meanwhile, in Division One, Dingle made it five wins on the trot when they hammered Gneeveguilla 2-13 to 0-9, with Kerry senior player David Geaney scoring 1-10 of his side’s total while his cousin Paul Geaney scored 1-1.
