Ryan pleased as Tipp clicking into gear

TIPPERARY manager Declan Ryan believes his All-Ireland champions are moving in the right direction following yesterday’s 13-point mauling of relegation-threatened Offaly at Nenagh’s McDonagh Park.

Tipp remain in contention for a place in the Division 1 final, despite suffering two early defeats, but Ryan insisted: “I haven’t really given it much thought — we’re concentrating on performances. “Galway beating Kilkenny throws it wide open but we can only concentrate on the games we’re playing ourselves.
