GAA PRESIDENT Christy Cooney revealed yesterday that the Association will unveil a campaign outlining players’ experience in dealing with crowd invasions.

The GAA president said in yesterday’s match programme: “In the coming weeks you will be hearing about our ongoing education campaign from a number of players, both hurlers and footballers, who will recount their own first-hand experiences of the challenge of facing thousands of people, in an exhausted state, immediately after games.”

Cooney reiterated that the: “health and safety of our players and supporters remains the driving force behind our efforts to change this practice”.
