Evans relishing Premier’s trip to Croker

TIPPERARY boss John Evans admits his side drew one of the shorter straws in Pat Gilroy’s Dublin team in yesterday’s All-Ireland SFC qualifier draw.

However he was thrilled to discover that the game will take place in Croke Park, after the GAA announced a double-bill in headquarters involving the Dublin hurlers and footballers on Saturday week, July 10.

The glamour draw of phase two of the All-Ireland SHC qualifiers will see Dublin boss Anthony Daly come up against his native Clare, who he captained to championship triumphs in 1995 and 1997.
