Kingdom boosted by Mike Mac’s return

ALL-IRELAND winner Mike McCarthy is to return to the Kerry squad.

Last year the Kilcummin man was coaxed out of retirement by manger Jack O’Connor and played a crucial role in the Kingdom’s championship success over Cork.

However he has not featured for the county since with many believing his inter-county career had come to an end. Yet once more, O’Connor has persuaded the defensive talisman to rejoin the panel in their quest for back-to-back titles.
