DIRECTOR General Páraic Duffy believes the GAA has reached ‘saturation point’ in terms of live televised games.

And he has hinted that Croke Park may reduce the number of championship matches on television from approximately 50 down to 40.

He said: “I think we probably have reached saturation point. The current TV deal runs until after the leagues next year. Beyond that in deciding the next deal, there may be a case for a small reduction in the championship games covered – but nothing drastic.”
