Much has already been made of the fact that both Antrim and Galway will have less than a week to prepare their cases after the end of their provincial campaigns and it certainly is a far from an ideal scenario.

Last year, Fermanagh were obliged to face Kildare in a qualifier seven days after losing the Ulster final replay to Armagh in Clones and it was no surprise when they limped out of the campaign having scored only five points.
