Board discuss Meyler sacking

WEXFORD GAA chiefs will meet tonight to discuss the controversial sacking of hurling manager John Meyler and his management team.

Board members have called on the four players who called for Meyler’s head to attend the meeting and explain their actions.

One member said: “We need an open, frank discussion, and no hiding behind anonymity. It’s a slap in the face for democracy. It’s also a slap in the face for the County Board who made the appointments initially.”
