Leahy relieved to deliver the goods

THE relief on the face of St Finbarr’s coach Tony Leahy was palpable at the final whistle as his side won back their senior status after just one year in the lower grade.

“It’s a tremendous relief to have won the game and gone back up senior,” said Leahy. It’s where a club the size of St Finbarr’s should be.

“It was a tough, sporting game as I expected it would be. Vincent’s came at us very early and got the scores but, once we settled and Roy got the goal, we settled well and played some great football.
