Hurling dates finalised

DELAYS in completing the county hurling championships in Waterford and Limerick will not prevent either county from meeting the AIB Munster club championship deadline.

The two counties have even been facilitated by receiving byes to the semi-finals, both of which will be played on November 18.

Four quarter-finals will be played in each county this week-end with the semi-finals in Waterford fixed for the following weekend. The semi-finals in Limerick are scheduled for one week later and the two finals will be played on November 4.

In the club championship, the Waterford representatives will play either the Clare or Kerry champions, with the Limerick winners paired with wither the Tipperary or Cork champions.

In the meantime, the formal launch of the club championships will take place next Wednesday.
