Ger: I may walk

FRUSTRATED Galway coach Ger Loughnane has admitted he may not see out his two-year term in the county, after Saturday’s insipid display in defeat in Ennis.

Loughnane accepted there is “something seriously wring with the psyche in Galway” if they can’t produce the necessary level of hurling intensity when it’s most required.

Accepting that such a commodity is partly the responsibility of the coach, Loughnane admitted: “Whether it will take more time to get that into them, whether it’s a switch you can just turn on or whether it’s something that can only come gradually, I’ll know very soon.
