Cork hurlers brave ‘Cats Country’

The Cork aces yesterday braved it where many dare not go at the moment — into the very heart of ‘Cats Country’. The duo stood shoulder-to-shoulder with some of the Kilkenny players with whom they will do battle in Croke Park on Sunday week in their bid to make it three-in-a-row All Ireland hurling titles.

“It’s always great to come up to Kilkenny, particularly just over a week before the All-Ireland. I don’t think we’re too cheeky coming up here today,” Deane said as he and Landers officially opened the Freshco convenience shop on Kilkenny’s Dublin Road.
