Rockies get vote to stay up

TONIGHT: Relegation IHC: St. Vincent’s v Blackrock: Bishopstown, 8 pm:

WITH intermediate status paramount for both clubs, expect this all city clash to have plenty of edge to it.

Vincent’s have been threatening for years to make the breakthrough only to fall by the wayside.

They lost narrowly to Milford in round one, but came a cropper to Carrigaline in round two, going down by 13 points.

Rockies progress this year is similar. They lost to Kanturk in round one and to Éire Óg in round two.

It’s a difficult game to call but the Rockies probably have the greater strength in depth.

Verdict: A Blackrock win.
