Planning permission granted for development of Leitrim ground
Leitrim County Council has given the go-ahead to Leitrim GAA Board to develop a 2,500-seater stand and floodlighting at Páirc Seán Mhic Diarmada in Carrick-on-Shannon.
“We are also making the pitch all-weather and developing new dressing-rooms and media facilities,” said county board chairman Gerry McGovern.
He said the county’s supporters would help to fund the new development.
And the board will also be looking for National Lottery funding. The project is expected to be completed inside two years.
