Planning permission granted for development of Leitrim ground

PLANNING permission has been granted for a major development at the top GAA ground in Co Leitrim.

Leitrim County Council has given the go-ahead to Leitrim GAA Board to develop a 2,500-seater stand and floodlighting at Páirc Seán Mhic Diarmada in Carrick-on-Shannon.

“We are also making the pitch all-weather and developing new dressing-rooms and media facilities,” said county board chairman Gerry McGovern.
