WITH Liam Kearns hinting that he won’t be continuing with the Limerick footballers once they end their involvement the squad recently parted company with trainer Dave Moriarty.

Rugby commitments with Young Munster meant that he had not been available in recent weeks and was not with the team for Sunday’s provincial semi-final against Kerry.

The understanding is Murphy is under contract to Young Munster and was unable to take charge of training in the build-up to the Kerry game. The physical preparations were undertaken by Liam Kearns.

While there had been suggestions of a falling-out between the two sides, official sources indicated that there had been no row and that Moriarty had parted company with the management on good terms.
