Limerick footballers part with trainer
Rugby commitments with Young Munster meant that he had not been available in recent weeks and was not with the team for Sunday’s provincial semi-final against Kerry.
The understanding is Murphy is under contract to Young Munster and was unable to take charge of training in the build-up to the Kerry game. The physical preparations were undertaken by Liam Kearns.
While there had been suggestions of a falling-out between the two sides, official sources indicated that there had been no row and that Moriarty had parted company with the management on good terms.
