Three in-a-row shot too good for Allen to resist

CORK’S All-Ireland winning manager John Allen is to stay for another season.

Allen, who had remained tightlipped on his future since September’s win over Galway, admitted that the lure of three-in-a-row swayed his decision.

“I’m staying on,” he said yesterday. “One year is hardly enough time; after thoroughly enjoying last season I want to remain in charge.”
