Johnny Murphy will take charge of Cork’s All-Ireland SHC semi-final against Galway in Croke Park on Saturday.
The Limerick match official was the man in the middle when Cork defeated Clare in their final round game in Páirc Uí Chaoimh in May. He also supervised Cork’s Division 1A games with Waterford and Offaly as well as Galway’s league clash with The Faithful County.
Waterford’s Thomas Walsh will referee the Clare-Limerick semi-final the following day. Walsh had been sidelined with injury for a part of this year but was in control of the Tipperary-Clare game last month having been appointed to the Clare-Division 1B final in April.
James Owens and Seán Stack, providing Clare don’t qualify for the final, are considered the frontrunners to referee the July 19 All-Ireland final. Liam Gordon, who officiated last year’s decider, has been ruled out for most of the season with injury.
