RTÉ will next year spend tens of millions of euros in trades on a suite of sports rights, some at inflated values which may make a profit, and others which will not.

The bailed-out broadcaster told The Pitch it will not be reducing investment in its sporting portfolio for 2024, a figure which currently sits at approximately €25.7m and could be as high as €30m by the end of the next financial year.
