Middleweight Darren Sutherland (St Saviours OBA), will face Spain's Mario Duro, and Irish captain Ken Egan (Neilstown Dublin), begins his quest for his fourth European Union Championships medal since 2003 against Imre Szello of Hungary.

Holy Trinity super heavyweight Cathal McMonagle goes had-to-head with Mohammed Samoudi from France in the final bout of this evenings session.

If all four can emerge victorious then Ireland will be guaranteed at least five bronze medals from the tournament.

Carl Frampton secured bronze last night courtesy of an emphatic 20-point rule round two stoppage (22-2) of Latvian Denis Labens.

Frampton, from the Midlands White City club in Belfast, will now meet Poland's Michel Chudecki in the semi finals tomorrow evening.
