Dennis defends Silverstone security

McLaren chief Ron Dennis believes even the most stringent security measures cannot prevent protesters from causing mayhem at sporting events.

The motor racing world was yesterday left stunned by the stupidity of a 56-year-old Irishman who ran down Hangar Straight in the face of cars hurtling at him at speeds of 180mph during the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
