Cork City’s penultimate game of the season in name, but this felt like the ultimate.
Of course, it was the final game at Munster FA Turner’s Cross for the 2026 season, and the last 63 minutes of Greg Bolger’s League of Ireland career.
Cork City finally got to lift the First Division title, after a lengthy wait.
But, to top it all off, Stuey served up one final half-time show of the year, as he rattled the crossbar and drew a sea of cheers from the 4,788 in attendance.
Fittingly, it was another comfortable win, where City need not work all that for the result but still fail to convert a plethora of opportunities.
And while the couple of first half goals were well-worked, the moment of the night belonged to Bolger, who was substituted in the 63rd minute, drawing his 20-year career to a close.
That announcement was met with a standing ovation, while white shirts lined the centre of the field to give Bolger a guard of honour on his way out. A fitting tribute.

City dominated the opening period, Seani Maguire and Hans Mpongo had several chances, Cillian Murphy with another that was brilliantly saved, but they would get off the mark after 25 minutes.
Mpongo’s low cross assisted Maguire for a point-blank effort, and while the Dutchman would continue to threaten – two curling shots went over the bar – it was incredible that City weren’t further clear.
The hosts would net their second just before the interval, Bolger threading the ball through, Keating squaring it, then Maguire knocking it home for a 2-0 lead.
On the resumption, Maguire had another excellent chance for his third, but City’s intensity faded and Harps had very little to answer with.
Mpongo forced a save, Maguire had another chance to grab a hat-trick following a Josh Fitzpatrick cross, but his effort was too high.
It would not matter at all, as Finn Harps never looked like threatening.
