ISC refute Hickey charges

The row flared again this week during a Newstalk review of the arrangements for the Olympics which included suggestions made after the Games from racewalker Robert Heffernan that the OCI did not consult with him regarding flight requirements.

When he returned to Dublin after finishing eighth in the Olympics he had to make his own way back to Cork. He said the Irish Sports Council got him the flight back down to Cork. “And small little gestures like that mean a lot,” he said.
