Basketball teams in friendly preparation

IN preparation for their European Championship games the Irish senior men’s and women’s basketball teams will play friendly tournaments next month.

The men will play a four nations friendly tournament in Cork and Dublin against Turkey, Denmark and England. The sides will play a series of games in Neptune Stadium, Cork on Thursday, September 2 and Friday, September 3.

They then move on to Dublin to conclude the tournament in the ESB Basketball Arena on Saturday, September 4.

The women host Norway for two friendly games. The first will be played at the University of Limerick on Sunday, September 12 and the second in Mercy Waterford on Monday, September 13.
