Even though it is the Cork dressing-room he is departing, I am going to begin with the Glen. That’s where the obsession took hold for Patrick and it is in that dressing-room where he’ll continue for another few years yet.

When you see the 2-9 he clipped in last Friday night’s county quarter-final against Midleton, including 1-3 from play, it’s hard to believe that 20 years have come and gone since his Glen debut.
