Fogarty Forum: The problem with the shorter hurley

If hurling doesn’t feel it might benefit from some of the experimental rules proposed by the Football Review Committee, it is guilty of hubris.

As we waited outside the Kilkenny dressing room for Derek Lyng to appear last month, their spare hurleys were lined up against the wall.

The Cats had pulled off a first home win of the year over Limerick, a most welcome one that ensured any threat of relegation from Division 1A was well and truly banished.
