According to reporting by Mark Sidebottom of the BBC, at a meeting of the Ulster Competitions Control Committee, Antrim GAA proposed Corrigan Park as a venue. All nine Ulster counties were present at the meeting, but none seconded the motion.

The notion that Antrim could be disqualified from the Ulster SFC – and therefore from the Tailteann Cup – is outrageous. If it comes to pass, it will mark a collapse in organisation that will leave a stain on the association and the manner it runs its affairs.

Last week, the committee that runs the Ulster Championship met and discussed fixing a venue for the quarter-final meeting of Antrim and Armagh.
