YOU can understand the enthusiasm of the children who surrounded Michael Murphy for what seemed like hours after his return for Donegal in their Allianz Football League game with Armagh last Sunday.

After all, here was the county’s premier sports goods retailer in the flesh, right before their eyes. Not only that, but a man who had recently shared a TV studio with Thomas Niblock and Philly McMahon. A man who had been frequently heard on Second Captains and had a regular column in the actual Irish Times. We don’t get celebrities like that around here too often!
