Sunday’s final wasn’t a great game, let’s be honest. Limerick were a level above Galway more or less all day, and that didn’t make for an entertaining contest.

Galway had a pretty inexperienced team outside of a few of the older lads: did they get a bit spooked by the occasion? Possibly, but what I think was more significant was the fact that they definitely learned a lesson the hard way.
