Lehenaghmore, once farmland, only really got going as a major suburban residential area in the past 20-odd years — and for too long those living in the neighbourhood had to drive everywhere in the absence of proper footpaths and adequate public transport links.

Those deficits are finally being addressed with the commencement of the Lehenaghmore Road Improvement Scheme which got underway in August and is due for completion early next year.

“It’s already under offer at around the asking price,” says Linda O’Donovan of Bowe Property. The asking for this Ruden Homes semi-D is €410,000.

Last year, No 11 Ardcahon Way, a four-bed semi-D, changed hands for €485k, having gone on at €395k.

No 29 is a three-bed, in a cul-de-sac, overlooking a green, with off-street parking and a private, tidy rear garden. The estate is on the 203 bus route to the city and Cork University Hospital, MTU, and UCC are all within easy reach. Lehenaghmore is less than a 10-minute drive from Cork Airport Business Park, and it’s also within a handy drive of Ringaskiddy.
