More than 150 lots including never-before-seen manuscripts, unpublished poetry, letters and personal effects like his hat, artwork and photographs will come under the hammer in a sale celebrating Leonard Cohen.
Leonard Cohen: The Collections of Aviva Layton, Anjani Thomas & More will be a live and online auction by Julien's Auctions in Los Angeles on February 28.
Included in a sale which will ignite fans of the Canadian singer, songwriter, poet and novelist are the collections of Aviva Layton and Anjani Thomas.

Long-time friend Aviva met him through her former husband, poet Irving Layton. Highlights from her collection include Cohen's first book of poetry and his "magic writing" Greek fisherman's cap.

Anjani met Leonard when she provided background vocals on the 1984 recording of "Hallelujah" and worked with him for many years. A highlight of her collection is a 76-page notebook dated January 21, 2007, with notes, poems and lyric drafts of his songs "Treaty" and "It's Torn".
