- Ladysbridge and District Flower and Garden Club will meet on Monday at 8pm in Garryvoe Hotel. Guest speaker is Kevin Ring, garden design consultant. There will also be a lant and bric-a-brac sale
- Owenabue Garden and Flower club, Carrigaline, will hold its annual decorative show on Monday at 8pm in the Church of Ireland school hall. An ‘Autumn Glam’ demonstration will be given by Melanie Harris of the Association of Irish Floral Artists. Enquiries to 086 3222615
- Bandon Flower and Garden Club presents a flower arranging demonstration by Anne Walsh and Anne Moylan from Anne’s Flowers, Bandon, in The Munster Arms Hotel on Monday at 8pm
- Ballincollig Flower and Garden Club hosts a gala Christmas demonstration by John Paul Deehan of the Northern Ireland Group of Flower Arrangement Societies on November 11 at Oriel House Hotel supporting Pieta House and Breakthrough Cancer Research. Tickets €15. Contact 087 2265954

- Cork Nature Network, in conjunction with Cork City Council, will hold a Bramble Bash on Saturday at Beaumont Quarry, from 11am to 4pm. People can learn more about the quarry, its history and ecology. Equipment is provided. Warm, waterproof clothing and suitable footwear required.
