Round Tower Hotel, Ardmore
The Round Tower Hotel, highly rated on online travel platform Tripadvisor, is on the market in Ardmore, Co Waterford, with a guide price of €1.5m.
Owned by Aidan and Patricia Quirke, and family-run for the past 30 years, the hotel presents a compelling coastal investment opportunity for an incoming purchaser to acquire an established and fully operational hospitality business with a loyal customer base.

The location is a winner — it’s in the pretty seaside village of Ardmore, a highly-regarded tourist destination in the sunny south east.
The 10 en-suite bedroom hotel, with a traditional licensed bar, dining facilities and a commercial kitchen, is set on 0.9 acres and has extensive on-site parking.
The property also includes a spacious three-bed duplex apartment providing flexibility for owner, staff and guest accommodation.

At the heart of Ardmore village, on Waterford’s scenic Copper Coast, the three-star hotel operates year-round, with trade strongest in the summer months, reflecting the area’s popularity as a tourist favourite.
The hotel itself gets the thumbs up from guests with 94 out of 142 reviews on Tripadvisor rating it as “excellent” and another 31 as “good”.
Commercial real estate agents Colliers said the customer base is diverse, comprising both domestic and international visitors.
The hotel also benefits from a strong level of repeat business, particularly from overseas guests. The bar and dining facilities add another dimension and are used to host a variety of community and village events throughout the year.
The only other hotel venue in the village is the Cliff House Hotel, a five-star that caters to a different market.
Colliers anticipate that the most likely purchaser will be an owner-operator or family business with experience in the hospitality sector and a hands-on approach to hotel management.

Commenting on the launch, Conor McElearney, Surveyor at Colliers, said the hotel — called after the actual Round Tower in Ardmore — “presents a rare opportunity to acquire a long-established hospitality business in one of Ireland’s most sought-after coastal destinations.”
“Ardmore enjoys a strong tourism profile throughout the year, underpinned by its unique combination of heritage, outdoor amenities and scenic beauty.
“With an established trading history, diversified income streams and a prime village-centre location, we expect the property to attract interest from both owner-operators and investors alike,” the agent said.
