Busy response to new West Cork village development
A show house opened last weekend at Cois Cuain with sales via Martin Kelleher of SWS Property Services, who had 26 pre-launch sales, with 20 restricted to full time owner-occupiers as a condition of planning permission.
A further ten sales were agreed at last weekend’s busy show period, with 150 people visiting on Saturday, and a further 250 on Sunday.
Now, there’s just one three-bed semi left, of 970 sq ft, priced at €390,000. Other three beds ranged from €380,000 to €395,000, while four-bed semis of 1,400 sq ft were priced at €450,000, and four bed detached at €595,000. All of the houses are built using Flemings innovative and highly energy efficient ‘Fusion’ steel frame technology.
“We were delighted with the reaction and there was a positive response to the show house, done by Paula Cooper of Kinsale. February was generally a quiet month for us in West Cork, but there’s been a strong pick-up through March as the weather improves,” noted Clonakilty-based Mr Kelleher.
Meanwhile, there’s a detached house on offer in Meadowlands, a Flemings scheme done in the mid to late 1990s above the caravan park, and a spot where a lot of long-established ‘mobile homers’ put down more permanent roots when the houses were built behind them.
Selling agents for No 25 Meadowlands, a detached three-bed home of about 1,300 sq ft are Henry O’Leary Property Partners, who pins a €490,000-plus price guide on the well-kept property with village and bay views.
It has a large living room, kitchen/dining room with views, and master bedroom en suite, with a lawned garden and shed to the rear.
Like the Cois Cuain development demand is expected to come from both owner occupiers and second home purchasers.
