Large side garden designed to accommodate extension

THIS house was built to accommodate a future extension, and, as a result, has the largest side garden in the development.

Given the 33' width of the side garden of number 5, The Meadows, Ard Cashel, Watergrasshill, Cork city, the builder has facilitated a future owner, ensuring the house can be easily extended: he has installed an RSJ steel girder, so that the gable wall can be partly knocked.

The Cork city house was finished two to three years ago, and this is one of the first of the 129 homes in the development to be resold, says estate agent Mark Gosling, of James G Coughlan Associates.
