Bungalow comes with water view

BUILT in the mid-1970s, this coastal Cregane bungalow has matured into its acre site on the edge of Timoleague in West Cork.

Bungalow comes with water view

Just across the bridge from the village, it has views over the water and the atmospheric old abbey, with the seaside village of Courtmacsherry a mile or so away and an array of beaches and bays within a short drive.

The place newly up for sale with Ray O’Neill of Sherry FitzGerald O’Neill in West Cork carries a price guide of €600,000 - and while there’s enough money around for this to be bought as a second home, Mr O’Neill feels it will be bought for full-time occupancy.

It has around 2,100 sq ft of space, and the lay-out allow several of the rooms open to patios by the landscaped mature gardens. Rooms with garden access include the lounge, dining room, kitchen and a guest bedroom.

The main house has four bedrooms, and a real selling point here (given the likelihood of visitors who might be inclined to linger) is the additional space in a self-contained apartment with two more bedrooms, kitchen and a shower room. There’s also a garage/workshop.

According to Mr O’Neill, the grounds are of particular appeal, with lawns and mature trees such as a variagated sycamore.
