I do not know where to look by now: Between EU grouping shake-ups, French and UK parliamentary elections, the US presidential race on the horizon, and dates being thrown up for our own election like a palm tree in the wind, it is a very busy time for politics.

Tuesday brought another mini-earthquake domestically. The second coalition leader to resign within three months, Eamon Ryan’s political career will soon come to an end. As was much remarked upon, he has achieved a lot of his personal and party aims.
